Will AI Replace Wedding Stationery Designers? Here’s My Take…

Hello, creatives!

Recently, I received an interesting question about the role of AI in wedding stationery—specifically, how it might impact my creative process. I thought it was a fascinating topic, so I wanted to share my thoughts with you.

My Experiment with AI-Generated Designs

Curious about its potential, I gave AI a try by asking ChatGPT to create wedding stationery in my style. After a few rounds of prompts and feedback, I’ll admit the results were… less than impressive. Imagine something closer to children’s book illustrations than the romantic, elegant designs I’m known for!

So, am I worried AI will take over my job? Not really. The AI-generated art I’ve seen feels impersonal and lacks the creative spark that makes human-created art special. It’s missing that sense of “soul” that clients look for in bespoke wedding stationery.

Would I Ever Use AI for the Creative Process?

For me, the answer is no. Creating is my passion—it’s the reason I started this business. The flow of ideas, the hands-on drawing, the joy of bringing a client’s vision to life—those are things I’d never want to hand over to AI. It just wouldn’t feel the same!

But When It Comes to Admin…

AI has been a game-changer for the behind-the-scenes tasks. The blog post you’re reading right now? I used ChatGPT to help streamline my original notes into a more polished version. For tasks like email summaries and managing admin work, AI is incredibly helpful.

I’d love to hear your thoughts on AI in the creative world! Do you agree with me, or do you have a different take? Let’s start a conversation—just leave a comment, or send your questions my way.

Thanks for reading, and here’s to keeping the art in “artificial intelligence” firmly in our hands!
